The experimental branch showing the extents of the loaded file
We've gotten side-tracked on the way to version 1.1. First of all, we'd like to address some reported emc2-specific problems with the Override Limits button and bad interactions between metric units and the Offset button. Unfortunately, this mostly means waiting for user reports, since neither Chris nor I are running emc2 yet.

Second, Chris started implementing the gizmo you see in the screenshot: visual feedback about the extents of the currently-loaded file. Using the same underlying code, we've also made the preset views always show the whole file, rather than beginning at an arbitrary zoom level.

This new work is on a branch, so it's a little bit difficult for others to try it out, but if we get it into good shape I certainly imagine we'll merge it back for 1.1.
